It is no secret that our environment is in dire need of some help, so I asked myself, why wait for someone else to put in the work when I as a student can participate in our national clean up month and contribute myself, so without further ado here are some ways I contributed.
1. Planting a tree
To plant a tree is one of the most simplest ways to help our environment, it is a process that can take no more than 5 minutes and when done enough it has a big impact on the improvement of our Earth's overall health. Here is a picture of me planting a mango tree.
2. Taking care of our environment
Of course, cleaning is a necessity for a cleaner world, we should be the ones to take initiative for a greener and cleaner earth. Pictures of me watering the aforementioned tree and raking some leaves.
3. Waste no material
Always remember, our trash stacks up, it doesn't go anywhere, that's why it is our responsibility to clean up after ourselves and if possible reuse our materials in order to not put any more strain on Earth's resources.

Recycling, one of the three R's, it is the act of reusing materials to create new ones. I find it important see the value in every material, never forget the quote" one man's trash is another man's treasure". A picture of a bottle that I recycled into a pencil holder.
If all else fails and one cannot do the previously mentioned activities, we can still help by simply spreading awareness. It is our duty to know the truth and to share it with our brethren so I thought to go into social media (a platform used by many) to share my truth.
