A new chapter, A better tomorrow

The Philippines is a beautiful country filled to the brim with joyous and hardworking people coupled with breathtaking scenery and culture and yet, we still have not yet escaped the stigma of being a "3rd world country" but the question is why? Is it because we've always been hit by calamities and natural disasters or is it because our political state is a mess, filled to the brim with political
dynasties and corruption. But in reality, the Philippines has always been like this, there is not a moment in our history that we can consider our "golden age". Because of the constant step backs our country has taken the Filipino people has slowly started to lose hope of their homeland to prosper. In effect, more and more Filipinos choose to live and work in abroad and more of our youth strive to work overseas instead of working to prosper their country.

The Philippines has terrible leadership, it's always been like that going all the way back to Aguinaldo. We  have still yet to believe that we have a future in this country, our leaders has failed to lead us dozens of times, so much so that the unity of the Filipinos has been weakened more than ever. Our country is at a divide because we still have not found a leader to successfully fulfill all our needs. That lack of unity has caused our economy to tank because we have so many issues among ourselves that we forget to work as fellow countrymen. All of these issues combined has made the Philippines into the country it is today, a country filled with hope with no success to show for it.

Still, despite all of our problems I and im sure many others still cling to the little hope we have that we can unite once more. Hope that our government can rally the people. A country that helps its people and can stand toe to toe with other countries in the world stage. That country that I love, i hope that i can see it in its purest form during my life time.
