TLE Extravaganza

 TLE Extravaganza

Any event in school particularly with student initiative has always been one of my favorite things to visit in school. It is fascinating to me just how the student body operates an event where they are the ones taking the lead.

TLE FAIR

Upon going to my ICT class I thought nothing of what we were going to do, I just figured that we would continue working on our website. We were running late, and to our surprise no one was in the classroom. We saw some of our classmates and they told us that the rest of us and our practice teacher already went ahead to SPTVE to visit the TLE booths.

We first visited the SPTVE booths that had a set of games, but I was reluctant to play as I didn't bring my money, so we just took a look at some of the booths then took some pictures then left for the cookery and beauty care area in front of NHB building.

Afterwards, we saw that they were selling bracelets and massages, but yet again we were not willing to spend any money, so we took the time to chismis and goof around. After some time, we promptly returned to our classroom, concluding my TLE extravaganza experience.

The wonders of time

The wonders of time

History is beautiful. To experience an event such as the 123rd foundation day of ISNHS is nothing short of amazing. That I am a small part in the 123 years of history that my school has stood. My experience is not extraordinary, but to take part in an event that has stood the test of time is nothing short of amazing.

The Dance and Parade
Taking part in the foot parade and field demo is not special I know, but just to perform after weeks of buildup is something I always took joy in doing. The dance was not special, we didn't even win, but looking at older HS days posted online, it is fascinating that one day I would just be another faceless name among the crowd.

To partake in an activity that has gone on for 123 years is extraordinary in itself. Celebrating history is never a thing that should be questioned but something to be proud of. I am not a very patriotic student when it comes to my school, but yet I find myself trying to enjoy every bit of this unique event,

That was...

 That was...

For my reflection, I have to acknowledge this school year has been a confusing one, on one hand this year has probably been my best experience in my Junior High School story, yet, I failed to reach the expectations I set myself up for going into the year. But alas, I still have picked up new knowledge from my experiences.

etimes we lose even though we tried our very best. I admit, academically this year has been a drop for me, but I have also learned to take losses, I learned just how complacency affects performance and most of all how to get back up after a fall.

What are the problems/challenges I have encountered?

New quarter, new lessons, new problems. Still, this 4th quarter has been a ride, the hectic schedule of course will never get old, the cramming of due projects will always be the death of me. Yet, I never once considered it stressful, for some reason I have become used to it.

How did I address these challenges?

Each quarter brought its own unique set of chaos and crammed projects. But through it all I remained composed, I always told myself to take it easy and to enjoy my last year in junior high, and that's just what I did. I walked my grade 10 path my own way and in doing it I left no regrets.

Moving on, I will..

Each fall is a new lesson, each experience is knowledge in life. Throughout my journey I had my failures and proud of myself for beating myself up for it. I approached my journey head first, not afraid of consequences, not overthinking everything and that was one of the proudest decisions I've made.

My future, what dream?

 My future, what dream?

'How do you see yourself 15 years from now?"

I am not afraid of questions, I don't get scared of getting asked because I think quick on my feet, I take pride in the fact that I can answer any question that I get asked without a second thought. But this particular question makes me ponder, it is a question I can't answer for the life of me. Who will I be once I grow up?

In 15 years, I would be 30. When I was a kid I always imagined that by the time I'd reach my age now, I would have life figured all out, that the path would be laid out for me. Instead, I am shrouded in confusion and doubt as to who will I be. To tell the truth, the future scares me, I am
scared of the uncertainty the journey of life brings, I am scared that one day all my peers would have successful lives and that I would be left behind. I am scared for the simple fact that I can't predict the future, if there is one thing I picked up from all of my experiences is that anything can happen. The unknown frightens me, what if I never truly figure what I want to be when I grow up, I am ashamed that people my age know their path in life and here I am clueless, so I just say careers that sound safe like doctor or lawyer.

Life is a mystery, and all I know is, no matter how uncertain I want my future to be, I want to do it my way. That I'd solve life's puzzle on my own pace and with no regrets, so to me 15 years from now, I hope you'll look back at this post and laugh at how clueless you once were.

A society for all?

A society for all?

Women's month is a time for uplifting, its a time for promoting women as equals. But how did that come to be? How is it that in our society, women felt so unappreciated and devalued that they even had to fight for the right to equality in the first place?

In a perfect world, there is no need for advocation for equal treatment. Equality is a concept that should be common sense to the common person. But alas, this is our reality, and although it is a sad fact to accept, there IS a need for advocacies like women's month.

We came from one, there would be no humanity without them, and it is time that we recognize their contributions and role in our world to truly establish a society for all.
